The different societies are able to draw on the
experience of many members of the academic staff
who have distinguished themselves in cultural
activities. Outside lecturers are regularly
invited to address the boys, and Chamber Concerts
are also arranged at school.
There is an official school magazine - 'The
Whittingehamian'- which is published twice a year
and which includes articles, stories and poems by
the boys, as well as essays and reports on many
different aspects of school life. The boys also
prepare their own informal (and uncensored!)
news-sheet which lives up to its title 'Vox
Populi'.
There is in addition a Hebrew News Letter edited
by the boys, which includes, apart from original
contributions by the boys, some news items from
Israel and news of Jewish interest from other
countries. |
