RELIGION AND
JEWISH LIFE
The school Synagogue offers facilities for regular daily worship. Sabbath and Festival services are conducted by the boys themselves under the supervision of the Headmaster who invariably delivers the sermon. Boys are prepared for their Barmitzvah by specialist teachers in close conjunction with the family rabbi. Hebrew is taught as a living language. The pupils are encouraged to speak Hebrew as their second language and all instruction is directed towards the recognition of lsrael's contribution to the vitality and enrichment of Jewish life.
The Bible, extracts from the Talmud and the Midrash, Classical and Modern Hebrew Literature, Jewish History and the Geography of Israel, both ancient and modern, form part of the curriculum.
The laws of Kashrut are strictly observed, and all school meals are supervised by a qualified chef.
